8 Ups & 1 Down From AEW Dynamite (10 Nov)

6. Super Solid

Jungle Boy
AEW

AEW giving Anthony Bowens a couple of looks as a singles wrestler over the past week has allowed the Acclaimed man to show he can stand out against different kinds of opponents when called upon. It's a small sample size, admittedly, but Bryan Danielson and Jungle Boy are at completely different stages in their careers, and Bowens looked good against both.

Bowens vs. JB was a fun action fight preceded by a Max Caster rap on the Jurassic Express man's inability to cut a promo and girlfriend, Anna Jay. Featuring some non-invasive heel skulduggery from Caster, who got clocked on the outside several times, it was a smooth, well-worked match with a couple of believable near-falls, building to the expected Jungle Boy win after countering a Uranage into the Snare Trap.

This is the kind of relatively inconsequential pay-per-view heat-up matches AEW loves to throw on go-home shows, with the booked Full Gear wrestler getting the win and the fabled momentum that comes with it. JB felt stronger coming out of it - and it was a good time all-around.
