8 Ups & 1 Down From WWE's UK Championship Tournament Finals (Night 2)

Downs...

1. The Nitpicks

From start to finish, last night's event was the best event WWE have produced since the Cruiserweight Classic finals. It was a smooth, slick professional wrestling show carried by a tremendous crowd, fantastic storytelling, and outstanding in-ring action. Everything was in the perfect place, and while some of the matches were short, none of them were subpar.

It's very, very difficult to find fault in the second night and almost every complaint feels like a reach. There's no such thing as a perfect wrestling show, but each of the complaints levied at the UK Tournament finals are nitpicks at best.

At one point, the production team accidentally fed Charly Caruso's medical update on Tyler Bate through to the arena rather than those viewing at home. Later, when Finn Balor arrived, a faux surprised Michael Cole said that he'd "heard rumours that Finn was going to be here this weekend," even though he'd introduced Balor on night one.

That's literally everything that was wrong with last night's show. Night two was a clear cut above the average episode of Raw, and even edges SmackDown out in the quality stakes. It was the kind of show that makes you wonder why WWE can't produce programming of this calibre on a weekly basis, but it'd be unfair to hold that complaint against the UK Tournament itself.
