For several years, Vince McMahon allegedly tried to kill Survivor Series and was only stopped in his tracks by so many staffers backstage having affection for it.
Presumably, they've left or given up now because nobody could have sanctioned laying such an eyg on a Big Four show otherwise.
Rancid booking before the event undermined what limited good action there was to find, a spineless battle royal offered pizza as a prize, Roman Reigns and Big E’s main event fizzled when a firecracker was needed and Vince McMahon’s golden egg Red Notice co-promotion insanity dominated the discourse before, during and after the event.
WWE increasingly looks like a billion dollar enterprise spaffing trillions up the wall. This show was the thumbnail for that specific vision.
