8 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Dynamite (26 Jan)

8. Kings Strike The Right Vibe

House of Black Kings of the Black Throne
AEW

AEW's myriad backstage segments are typically omitted from this article for several reasons, one of which being brevity (this thing would end up being about 25 entries long every week). That said, the Kings of the Black Throne deserve a shout-out here.

This was a good promo from Brody King and Malakai Black. Rather than going full spooky, which Black often does, they presented themselves as fearsome guys with a slightly chilling vibe. King, in Black's words, is the embodiment of conflict and violence and like death, they are inevitable.

These House of Black representatives made a blistering start to their in-ring run with last week's mauling of the Varsity Blonds. This segment was similarly on point and now, with them already sitting fifth in the rankings, the big push appears to be on.
