8 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Dynamite (November 29 - Results & Review)

Ups...

8. A Nice Moment

People still want AEW to be great. People are still fighting for it. One of the reasons why is that AEW is often just a plain nice promotion that does nice things for its talent.

Dante Martin returned, somehow, from an injury in which his foot turned backwards just this past spring. He did so in his home state. As a result, the match was overflowing with lovely vibes, and, considering the 2023 Hardy Boyz were in it, exciting fast-paced action. You'll have seen hundreds of better trios matches than this, but in a weird, roundabout way, the Hardys being so slow enhanced the drama.

More than once, they arrived late on the scene to break up pin attempts, but the result was something closer to "2.9 ad infinitum" than perhaps intended. Which is good. A happy accident.

That, or their timing was spot-on, and it was simply hard to believe that they'd get there on time. Being the Hardys in 2023.

Either way!

The match was built entirely around Dante, rightfully so, and he looked remarkably sharp and at ease during his two exhilarating hot tags and a neat sequence in which he took a Hardy Party tandem move and looked close to defeat.

They crafted a touch more drama than you'd expect, given there was only one finish here.
