Booting off the main card with a ladder bout was shrewd from WWE too, because it continued the good vibes in the building and gave the crowd a different kind of multi-wrestler scenario to go wild for. OK, so this North American Title match didn't reinvent the wheel, but the bigger spots were fun.

Everybody around ringside, from the towering Sanga to Elektra Lopez and Trick Williams, also got involved to give them some sense of purpose. That was smart, 'cause they would've been rendered pointless as managers if they didn't at least try to help their charges haul down that belt when the match had no DQ rules.

In a neat twist, the only dude without someone there to aid him ended up winning. More on that in the next entry; for now, just know that the ladder brawl wasn't the most original but was still a giggle. If you're tired of these things in 2022, it won't change your mind. If you enjoy the ride, then you'll have fun.

Good card placement regardless.
