8 Ups & 2 Downs From NXT Stand & Deliver 2022

Ups...

8. New Women’s Tag Champs

It didn't take long for Stand & Deliver to erm...deliver the good sh*t.

Toxic Attraction lost their NXT Women's Tag-Team Titles to the reunited duo of Raquel Gonzalez and Dakota Kai. Being brutally honest, WWE didn't have much choice here. Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne had held the straps since Halloween Havoc last October, and their time was up in the title hotseat.

Besides, Kai and Gonzalez (the first ever champs) holding those belts aloft looked right. Creative's next hurdle will be finding suitable challengers for them; there's a dearth of tags on the women's side who could credibly take them away from the now two-time champions.

There were a few bits of miscommunication here or there throughout this one, but they didn't appear glaring or kill the excitement of a Texas crowd who clearly came to have a good time. Those folks were rewarded with a pleasing title switch here.
