Saturday's Royal Rumble card wasn't some over-bloated popcorn fart of a show that promised much but delivered little. Twin Rumble matches soared despite unavoidable sags for 10-15 minutes in each, and one of the undercard title bouts thrilled with a smart finish that teased more. Spoiler: It wasn't the four-way for Roman Reigns' Undisputed gold.

That's become a nagging itch Triple H will surely scratch once and for all come WrestleMania XL. 'The Game' has to, because all-too-familiar tropes bogged down the only World Title scrap on WWE's latest bumper PLE, and it laid bare why some have been tut-tutting about The Bloodline story for a while now.

The end is nigh. It must be.

That's not meant to be as negative as it sounds - Roman's title demise can still deliver greatness before The Rock finishes his 'Tribal Chief' story arc off once and for all. Besides, one need only glance at the 'Ups' and 'Downs' counts to see that this was a top notch evening from Hunter and crew.

Here's all the good and bad from WWE's first bold step in 2024.
