8 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Dynamite (Feb 10)

1. All Out War

Kenny Omega Lance Archer
AEW

Preceded by a defiant Jon Moxley promo and a Kenny Omega golf outing was the main event: KENTA and Omega vs. Moxley and Lance Archer.

With falls counting anywhere and no disqualifications, you probably knew what you were going to get here. And you got it.

This was nuts. An Attitude Era-style hardcore brawl in spirit and execution, it began with KENTA clocking Moxley with his briefcase and spilt all over the arena, from the floor to the kitchen. Poor Peter Avalon ate a Go 2 Sleep after getting caught in the crossfire, KENTA hit a DDT on a steel table, and Moxley got put through a table with a double stomp from the stage. At one point, Kenny paid for his extreme hubris by immediately eating sh*t after bringing plunder into play himself. Mox and Archer literally potatoed the heels in the kitchen. Pure madness.

A busy finish saw Moxley save Jake Roberts with a barbed wire baseball bat when a V-Trigger loomed. There were too many heels, though. With KENTA, Omega, Karl Anderson, and Doc Gallows all present, Archer fell to a One-Winged Angel, defeated, effectively, by four men.

Parts of this were messy, and the referee visibly holding the table in place for the kitchen DDT was contrived, but a strong way to end the night nonetheless. Archer was protected in a finish that inspired genuine anger when those dastardly heels triumphed again. The only question is where we head next.

Moxley vs. Omega III?

Moxley vs. Omega vs. Archer?

... Blood and Guts?

We'll find out soon.
