8 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Dynamite: New Year's Smash (Jan 6)

2. Dogg Splash

Snoop Dogg

Celebrity guests getting over on full-time, contracted talent is bad when WWE do it, and it was bad here as well, as Snoop Dogg hit the top rope for a shaky Five Star Dogg Splash on Serpentico after he and Luther had jumped Cody Rhodes following a win over Matt Sydal.

'Snakeman' was held down by Sydal and Rhodes and as an undercard wrestler, he doesn't need protection. This is no great burial. Still, the famous non-wrestler bloke getting moves in on somebody we are supposed to receive as a professional combatant is rarely a good look, as was that case here.

That being said, props to Snoop for actually doing it. His execution was endearingly messy.
