8 Ups & 3 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Dec 8)
7. Myers Finds A Way
Brian Myers being an Up this week is a shock in itself, but if he's taught us anything since arriving in Impact full-time, it won't last. Credit where it's due, though, 'The Most Professional Wrestler' had an entertaining technical clash with TJP last night, a match the former Curt Hawkins would actually come out on top in.
The two former WWE stars locked horns, with TJP holding the advantage for the majority of the bout. Using his submission-based expertise, the Cruiserweight Classic winner was on fire throughout, often going back to the kneebar that garnered him so many wins during his WWE tenure. It was this same kneebar that came back to haunt him, though, as Myers shoved the referee on top of TJP to break up the submission, and clotheslined him onto his neck for the three count.
It's times like this when you realise just how dirty Impact are treating Brian Myers. He can have decent matches with just about anyone, but it's the booking that lets him down time after time. He doesn't need to be jumping from one rivalry to the next just like that. Get him in a proper programme, and let him shine. He was brilliant this week, as was TJP.
