It's a recurring theme for WWE to press the reset button week-to-week and pretend viewers have no clue what's going on. This maybe makes sense due to FOX potentially attracting newcomers, but it's dull as dishwater for those who follow closely.

It also makes characters look like morons.

On Friday, roving reporter Kayla Braxton asked Big E and Kofi Kingston if they thought they could win without Xavier Woods by their side. She was trying to add some danger to their upcoming match with The Revival, and it was totally unnecessary. The New Day boys had beaten Dash and Dawson without Xavier just seven days earlier.

Why would they suddenly be super-worried about the lack of a third man now? To their credit, E and Kofi breezed past Kayla's ridiculous scripted query and traded some quirky banter instead. Braxton is too good at her role to get idiotic material like this.
