8 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE Raw After WrestleMania 40 (8 April - Results & Review)

1. Rock Brings The Mana

For all the heat the fans brought Monday night, The Rock fed off that energy and brought one final dose of MANA before he performed his best Poochie impersonation in telling fans he had to go away for a while.

Rock sparred with the fans for a bit before telling Cody Rhodes he wanted to give him his flowers and praise him for finishing his story. He delivered a few heartfelt words about Dusty Rhodes before switching gears to lay his eyes on Cody’s title, clearly coveting what once was Roman Reigns’ championship.

The two traded titles briefly in a strange bit, but it allowed Rock to put the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship on his shoulder and declare that it “kinda feels right”. Throw in his announcement that he was going away for a spell (shocker) but that he was coming for Cody when he returned, and you’ve just booked your main event for SummerSlam or whenever Rock can make his way back.

Cody, to his credit, didn’t back down from Rock, even stepping right up to him and pointing out that he might be the literal boss, but Rhodes is his champion.

Gold Star, book the match now and sell the tickets. Just fantastic stuff that leaves you wanting more.
