8 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Aug 28)
1. This 'King's Ransom' Stuff
So, here's a recap: Shorty G ambushed Matt Riddle from behind weeks ago and tried to secure 'King' Corbin's ransom. Then, he confronted Riddle backstage and interrupted his promo to apologise for how he acted. Flash forward to this week and it's like that apology never occurred.
Shorty attacked the 'Bro' from behind again.
That's not the worst part of the story. WWE still haven't revealed what Corbin's ransom actually is, or how much Gable would get for beating Riddle. Also, why does he need to pin or submit him in a wrestling match to bag it? Wouldn't attacking from behind and successfully beating up Riddle be enough?
It's hard to care about or understand Shorty's motivations when the story is so poorly told. The guy got squashed like a bug in a few short minutes too, so he's hardly the biggest threat to Riddle anyway.
