8 Ups & 4 Downs For AEW Collision (19 August)

6. Welcome To The Party, Peacock

Admittedly, your writer is a huge Dalton Castle mark, but the Party Peacock is one of the most underappreciated talents under the employ of Tony Khan.

Of course, Castle has had several serious back issues in recent years, but a fit and healthy Dalton is a huge asset to any promotion. Not just does he have his eccentric persona and his Boys, though, for the former ROH World Champion is extremely talented between the ropes.

So, seeing Dalton Castle make his Collision debut last night was a welcome sight. Not just that, but it was also great to see the New Yorker get a solid, competitive 12 minutes to showcase his skills against Jay White here. Considering how well AEW has positioned and protected Switchblade since Collision's launch, having Castle go toe-to-toe with the Bullet Club Gold man is hopefully a positive sign of things to come for Dalton.

The end result was never in doubt - White getting the 1-2-3 with the Blade Runner - but Castle got to show off his stunning suplexes and exceptional ground game.

As per, BCG's Gunns and Juice Robinson were all tremendous in their brash, obnoxious ways as they cheered King Switch on.
