8 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Dynamite (May 13)

1. The Death Of Vanguard 1

Pour one out for Vanguard 1, who was brutally murdered by the coward Chris Jericho and his Inner Circle on last night's Dynamite.

Jericho grabbed the stick after taking care of Pineapple Pete. A great back-and-forth with Sammy Guevara popped viewers ("super honourable, baby!"/"say it in Spanish"/"... el honourable") after Jericho had shredded The Young Bucks and Hangman Page for not showing up. Then came the important stuff, as 'The Painmaker' announced the creation of his Stadium Stampede match, confirming that the Inner Circle will face off with the elite inside an empty 80,000-seater football stadium at Double Or Nothing, which sounds absolutely mental.

Vanguard 1 came down to answer this challenge - and paid with his life. A horrible, gutwrenching assault saw Jericho and friends pummel the drone to pieces with a baseball bat, leaving fragments scattered all over the ring. An unconsolable Matt Hardy rushed out, but it was too late for his poor, defenceless pal. He was already dead.

Something tells us we're about to see Damascus' full force unleashed next week...
