8 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Dynamite (May 20)

Ups...

8. Black & White & Darby All Over

Darby allin thing
AEW

We returned to the backwoods to catch up with Darby Allin on last night's Dynamite, which featured a short black-and-white video package reminiscent of those the AEW up-and-comer shot while out of action following the Sammy Guevara throat-crushing incident.

Weird country music strummed while a bunch of guys wearing masks of Darby's Casino Ladder Match opponents played cards around a table. All the chips went into the middle but it was Allin, not one of his foes, holding the advantage in the end. This was interspersed with footage of the man himself scaling a ladder outside, closing with him setting himself on fire (!).

These things aren't high art, but they showcase the creativity that has made Darby such a hot commodity since debuting here. He should do one of these every week he isn't in the building itself.
