4. A Rushed Narrative

Matt Cardona
AEW

Cody's friends rallying to support him after The Dark Order put him on the shelf is a solid piece of storytelling, with Matt Cardona coming back into the fold to aid Scorpio Sky and The Natural Nightmares last week. Unfortunately, the execution hasn't been all that satisfying.

The program was restricted to a short video package last night. We got solid interviews from Dustin Rhodes, QT Marshall, Sky, and Cardona after AEW recapped the events, though the vignette wasn't substantial enough to put extra meat on the all Out match's bones. It almost feels like a rush job at this point - and that's highly uncharacteristic of this promotion.

A shame, though the match should still pop. The Dark Order are in rare form at the moment.
