8 Ups & 4 Downs From Impact Wrestling (May 19)

Downs...

4. Big Lads, Plus TJP

TJP and Fallah Bahh vs. XXXL wasn't great. Sadly, it's as simple as that.

Obviously, having TJP - a cruiserweight wrestler - in there with three big beefy boys won't allow for anything too exciting. Fallah Bahh, Acey Romero, and Larry D, while they're good in their own right, are limited as to what they can do in the ring due to their bigger statures. Don't take that the wrong way as they're still impressive (Acey's pounce on Bahh that sent him flying was legitimately impressive) but they definitely need some smaller guys in there with them to chuck around. There's a reason why their recent multi-team contests alongside the likes of The Rascalz have been decent.

When bigger guys are put against smaller lads, that's when the better matches can come through. Putting the superheavyweights against each other with TJP there next to them just didn't allow for a good match. At least the former WWE Cruiserweight Champion got the pin with a Mamba Splash, even if he did get squashed earlier on.
