Triple threat matches often exist to allow the heel champion to retain their title by surviving, taking advantage of chaos at the end and allowing the defeated wrestlers to have a gripe that they could have won if not for the other person.

So, when Bianca Belair managed to eke out a win and capture the WWE Women’s Championship by pinning Asuka – while the EST was still in a Figure-4 – was quite the shock.

And then Iyo Sky’s music hit.

Belair had been briefly taken out of the match due to a knee injury, so she was nowhere near 100%, making her an easy target for Ms. Money in the Bank, and Iyo didn’t miss her opportunity, cashing in and winning her first main roster singles title.

The double title switch fired up the fans, who had been sleepwalking through the beginning of the match, gave Sky a great moment, and preserved a future title feud between Asuka and Iyo, which should be dynamite when it happens.
