8 Ups & 5 Downs From AEW Dark (Aug 18)

1. The Butcher and the Blade/Lucha Brothers vs. SCU/Private Party

Every Lucha Brothers/Butcher and Blade multi-man match has been a riot so far, so you probably had an idea of what to expect coming into this. Those expectations were fulfilled.

This was a Dark version of their usual Dynamite brilliance. It wasn't quite as electric as previous offerings, and definitely not as nuts as Saturday's clash with The Natural Nightmares/Jurassic Express is going to be, but such was the stage. Still, this was a wacky, all-out shot of adrenaline. Even SoCal Uncensored more ground-based control periods never really slowed down, making this a must-watch for fans of those involved.

Butcher hossing the much smaller Private Party members around the ring was the highlight. He was involved in the finish, too, helping Blade nail Christopher Daniels with Full Death after the SCU man had already eaten a Package Piledriver.

Have you got 10 spare minutes and a bag of popcorn at hand? Here's the perfect accompaniment.
