8 Ups & 5 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Nov 21)

1. A Tremendous Main Event

Despite the misgivings surrounding the finish, Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins worked a great arena-white brawl in Raw's main event. The duo haven't always delivered in the ring together, but they looked hell-bent on washing away their Hell In A Cell and Clash of Champions disappointments last night. Owens and Rollins worked aggressively from the first bell, and they didn't let up throughout.

It'd be nice if just once in a while, Owens could defend his Championship without outside interference. He hasn't been booked strongly since acquiring the championship, but this outcome at least leaves Rollins open for another title shot, and keeps The Architect relatively strong. Rollins will surely collide with Triple H again in the near future, but he'll never be too far from the title division.

Raw's main event scene is full of interesting wrinkles at the moment. There's not only the Rollins/Owens rivalry, but the apparent tension between Jericho and Owens, and Roman Reigns' reunion with his former Shield brother. Whatever direction WWE head next, they've planted plenty of seeds throughout Raw's Universal Title scene, and there are a number of options open for each participant.

There's every chance WWE will find a way to screw this whole thing up before long, of course, but at least this week's Raw ended with a solid match.
