8 Ups & 5 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (10 Sept)

4. Erick Roman

A worthy effort to rebadge Erick Rowan as a misunderstood misanthrope during a p*ssed off promo was thankfully interrupted by Roman Reigns

Rowan was creeping close to an "each and every one of you" spiel before 'The Big Dog' finally appeared and the pair kicked the f*ck out of each other in a wild arena-wide brawl. Chucking a planted fan at security was slightly silly, but it didn't take away from the heat that has thankfully peaked at just the right time.

An angle that has, at times, been absolutely p*sspoor might yet yield a decent match at Clash Of Champions, and even better ones when Daniel Bryan interjects. As a teaser for the carnage still to come, this was the best thing either have been involved with since the start of the angle.
