While The Undertaker has undoubtedly grabbed the shovel to bury more than his fair share of opponents over the years, he has been a giving foe for many others. Brock Lesnar may never have scraped transcendent status if not for WrestleMania XXX, and 'Taker put over Kane huge in his early days, but some of his most satisfying work came in the mid-to-late '00s, when he was paired with hungry, talented borderline main-eventers ready to hit the next level.

His tanglings with Edge produced some of the best singles bouts of either man's career, starting with an awesome scrap at WrestleMania 24. They saved the best 'til last, though, going to war in a perfect PG-rated Hell In A Cell bout that showed the stipulation could still be compelling in a family-friendly setting, closing SummerSlam 2008 in memorable fashion.

Before that was Undertaker's equally successful rivalry with Batista, who proved an unlikely source of excellent in-ring chemistry for 'The Deadman.' Their clashes were simple, but effective: two big, tough bastards dropping bombs on each other, escalating in intensity with every new meeting. The result was 2007's best WWE feud, and an almighty rub for 'The Animal,' who came out smelling like roses.
