With just seven days to go before we head to Dallas, Texas for Slammiversary, Impact Wrestling provided another mixed night of action, but it was a mostly enjoyable two hour show. We had some excellent wrestling and had some brilliant storyline development throughout, two things that are sure to get fans hyped up for Impact's anniversary show.

One of the biggest talking points coming away from this week's episode was the fact that Brian Cage is apparently still not cleared to wrestle, putting his World Championship defence against Michael Elgin in jeopardy. Both men are dying to pick each other apart limb by limb but with that news coming straight from Dr Ariel, the match is seemingly off for the time being despite being heavily hyped on Impact's social media pages.

Elsewhere on this week's episode, The Rascalz collided with The LAX and Laredo Kid in an epic six man tag team match, the competitors in the upcoming Monster's Ball on 7 July tore into one another during a special tag team attraction, Kiera Hogan questioned the sisterhood of the Knockouts division, and corrupt referee John E. Bravo was confirmed to be wrestling next week. Just what everybody wants to see: a referee in the ring doing something other than refereeing.

It was an entertaining episode for the most part, and it was certainly an easy one to sit through, something that's needed right now with Slammiversary looming in the distance. Let's get to it...
