8 Ups & 6 Downs From This Week's Impact Wrestling (June 28)

5. Bravo, John E.

Corrupt referee John E. Bravo was, for some strange reason, seen gloating to all the other Impact officials about how close he is to Johnny Impact and Taya Valkyrie. Well, as he would soon learn, actions like that will come back to haunt him as it will now be he and Impact taking on Rich Swann and Willie Mack. The challenge, which was made by Swann and Mack of course, was surprisingly accepted by Bravo without too much hesitation.

Do we need to have this match? The fact that one featuring a corrupt referee is taking place to build towards a championship match at a pay-per-view says quite a lot about Impact's booking team. While they're good for the most part, they do tend to come out with some ridiculous ideas now and again, this being a prime example.

Please, let this be the only time we have to watch a John E. Bravo match. No-one should have to suffer that more than once.
