8 Ups & 7 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Nov 5)

Ups...

8. It's A Start

Apollo Crews Jinder Mahal

Apollo Crews is another wrestler WWE fans have been conditioned not to care about, with the former Uhaa Nation relegated to a spot-filler role soon after joining the main roster, then typecast as a comedic jobber's sidekick while with Titus Worldwide. He's now out there on his own, working actual singles matches on Raw, and although it'll take considerable time before he's anything close to over, his current run is an upturn relative to the rest of his main roster career.

Jinder Mahal fell victim to the reborn Apollo last night. It took Crews only a few minutes to put him away, nailing 'Big Shanti' with an Enzuigiri, press slam, and standing Moonsault for the 1-2-3. Though this probably says more about Mahal's lowly status than anything else, it's a start.

A talented athlete with good power, flips, and a marketable look, Apollo's lack of charisma will be tough to overcome, but we're here for his rebuilding project.
