The Royal Rumble under Triple H’s direction seemingly has focused on longer runs for wrestlers, with iron man and iron woman runs becoming more commonplace.

But this year’s women’s Rumble took it to a ridiculous level, with three women topping an hour in the match: Iyo Sky, Liv Morgan, and Roxanne Perez, who were the first three entrants. That’s a ridiculous strategy, having the three of them hang around for more than 60 minutes each and racking up only a combined four eliminations.

It’s longevity for the sake of longevity, and they didn’t really do anything notable until the final third of the match. Perez finishing as runner-up would have been more notable had she not been one of three women who entered early and just hung around for the duration.
