The Street Profits have been floundering as an act for quite some time, struggling to do much more than serve as “good hands” in the tag division. They’ve remained babyfaces (except when they inexplicably turned heel alongside Bobby Lashley before drifting back) for the past several years, which has raised a question about whether that has been hampering them.

Saturday, the duo interfered in the deciding fall of the WWE Tag Team Championship match. Montez Ford distracted the referee, allowing Angelo Dawkins to wallop Alex Shelley with a crutch, giving DIY the victory. But before you could speculate that this meant the Profits were turning heel, they attacked Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano, leaving the tag champs laid out.

Rather than a straight heel turn, it seems the Profits are going to do whatever they want when it comes to winning tag gold, whether that involves attacking heroes or villains along the way. The duo needed an edge to their act, and this could be a winning formula if it carries over and yields success.
