8 Ups And 4 Downs From WWE NXT Takeover: Unstoppable

6. Women Take Center Stage

Of the six matches on the card Wednesday night, two featured women, while a third match was decided by the involvement of a woman. You definitely can€™t say that NXT shortchanges the females on its roster. Bayley and Charlotte teamed up to down Dana Brooke and Emma in a short but energetic match. Although it was brief and featured a super-green Brooke, the women had a fun bout that the fans loved. A couple matches later, Blake and Murphy were defending their NXT Tag Team Championships against Enzo Amore and Big Cass, with Carmella on the outside. Leading up to this match, Blake and Murphy had been trying to woo Carmella, leading to speculation that she would turn on Enzo and Cass to cost them the match. Instead Alexa Bliss, who had been feuding with Carmella, interfered and cost the challengers their shot. And of course, Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch brought down the house with their NXT Women€™s Championship match. There isn€™t enough praise to go around for this match. Suffice it to say, if you were looking for one of the best women€™s wrestling matches WWE has put out there, this would have to be in the conversation. It was that good. Can we just promote the entire NXT women€™s division and punt two-thirds of WWE€™s Divas€™ roster? Everyone is already thinking it.
