8 Ups And 5 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Nov 12)
7. Balor Perseveres
There’s a very real possibility that Finn Balor will be served up to Drew McIntyre as a high-level babyface to defeat, which would stink for card-carrying members of Balor Club, but if it seriously elevates the Scot, then so be it.
But for an evening, it was good to see Balor prevail in his struggle, warding off McIntyre (after stepping up to him) and defeating Dolph Ziggler in a match that started slow but picked up steam rapidly toward the end. It was particularly heartening to see him take Drew down a peg before reversing a rollup for the pin, allowing him to not only get a ring win, but a moral victory too.
Don’t look for that win to stand forever, though. McIntyre is likely WWE’s pick to rise to the top in the long term.
