8 Ups And 6 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Aug 22)

7. Saxton Makes A Good Point

Byron Saxton has been the whipping boy for fellow announcers, wrestlers and fans alike – and deservedly so. He’s goofy without being entertaining or adding anything of consequence or significance to the broadcast. He’s the epitome of an empty suit.

But Monday night, Saxton actually said something that not only made sense, but it was probably what a lot of people were thinking. Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows came out to interrupt New Day’s celebration of holding the WWE Tag Team Championships for one full year, and Saxton was quick to note that he was “glad they’re not wearing those silly lab coats anymore.”

What made this even more of a Bizarro World was that Corey Graves of all people started trying to insist that they were indeed doctors (thanks Vince McMahon, who was presumably in Graves’ ear making him sound like a moron), and it was Saxton who was the voice of reason pointing out that they weren’t MDs.

So mark it down on your calendars, the day Byron Saxton made a good point.
