2. Graves: Wins And Losses Matter

After listening to the countless comments about how long people were in the Royal Rumble Sunday night, one mini-rant from Corey Graves was enough to elicit applause (to a TV) from this writer.

As Michael Cole and Coach prattled about how long Sasha Banks had been in the Rumble, Graves cut the off and said he didn’t understand why everyone was so caught up with longevity when she didn’t win. If you lose the Super Bowl in overtime, you still lose. If you lose the World Series in the 18th inning, you still lose.

It was a phenomenal and simple point that really was perfect, reminding everyone that at the end of the day, this so-called sport we love is supposed to be about wins and losses. Lasting for 55 minutes in the Rumble means nothing if you lose. It’s about time someone said that out loud.

Of course, Vince McMahon probably chastised Corey for such blasphemy.
