8 Ups And 6 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (July 15)
5. Natalya The Right Opponent
Face it: Natalya is a well-respected wrestler on the main roster, but she doesn’t tend to get a huge reaction from fans and is probably best-suited as a trainer/sidekick/tag team partner.
However, pitting Nattie against Becky Lynch for the Raw Women’s Championship at SummerSlam – in Toronto, Canada – could be a stroke of brilliance. Natalya still can go in the ring, and her style should mesh well with The Man. Both women specialize in mat wrestling and submissions, while Lynch can add aerial assaults, and Neidhart can use power moves.
Nattie jawed a little with Becky after winning the four-way elimination match, threatening to rip Lynch’s “greasy, orange mop” off her head and pull her horseshoe out of her… well, you know.
If given the time and opportunity, this could be a solid match, a nice rebound opponent for The Man after having to deal with Lacey Evans for way too long.
