8 Ups And 6 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (July 15)

3. Cedric Gets Some Shine

Credit where it’s due, as WWE exhibited some continuity by giving Cedric Alexander a chance to wrestle in his own gear Monday night.

Alexander disguised himself as a janitor hand-picked by Shane McMahon & Drew McIntyre to team with Roman Reigns last week. Just when it looked like the poor, limping custodian was going to be beaten to a pulp, he broke out a Neuralizer and tope – before succumbing to a Claymore.

Monday, McIntyre challenged Alexander to a match, and surprisingly, it wasn’t a total squash. Alexander landed a few moves to rattle Drew, but McIntyre recovered and went for a reverse Alabama Slam, which Cedric countered into a deep rollup for the upset win.

Odds are this isn’t leading to some mega-push for Alexander, but after being relegated to the never-ending 24/7 Championship chase for some time, anything is better than nothing, so we’ll give this a thumbs-up here.
