8 Ups And 6 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (March 13)
2. KO’s Spotlight
He might have gotten demolished in less than 30 seconds by Goldberg at Fastlane, but Kevin Owens has been showing during the past month how good he can be on the mic at being hated.
The ride of Jeri-KO (hop on board, maaaaaan) was a fun trip, with KO and Chris Jericho being a highly entertaining duo that carried Raw for much of the fall and winter. But their pairing underscored Owens’ strength as an unforgiving, unrelenting villain. Having the spotlight cast on him as he blasted Jericho and bragged about stabbing him in the back before he could stab him really set the tone.
Owens might have lost his WWE Universal Championship in embarrassing fashion to a part-timer, but he’s the one who will be around long after WrestleMania, and hopefully these promos are a sign that he will be taken and treated seriously as a top threat in WWE going forward.
