8 Ups And 6 Downs From WWE WrestleMania 36 (Part 1)

Hats off to Kofi Kingston, John Morrison and Jimmy Uso, who put on a car crash of a triple threat ladder match for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship despite there being no audience to chant, “Holy s***!” or “This is awesome!”

The three men traded some seriously crazy high-risk moves, with Morrison in particular really showing off, at one point walking across the top rope unassisted from one turnbuckle to the other so he could hit Kofi with a Spanish Fly. Kingston springboarded to Morrison on the ladder and nailed him with a hurricanrana off the ladder. And Uso flew around the ring and took a big fall to the floor from a ladder inside the ring.

The ending – with all three men taking down the titles but Morrison unhooking them as he was knocked off the top of the ladder – was unique, but it made JoMo look lucky rather than devious or even good. He could have been heelish by unhooking them while Kofi and Jimmy fought and look sneaky rather than falling off the ladder holding the titles.

But overall, this was a really good match. It’s a shame there was no one there to cheer.
