8 Ups And 6 Downs From WWE WrestleMania 36 (Part 1)

Downs...

6. Truly A WrestleMania-Worthy Match

Baron Corbin Elias

Elias versus King Corbin barely is a SmackDown main event, much less a blowoff match for WrestleMania. But Saturday, it was there, in all its non-glory, and then we got double rollup finish, with the heel getting caught for cheating but the babyface getting away with it.

Thrilling.

The match itself wasn’t terrible, but both men have their limitations in the ring. They can rise to the level of their opponent, but when you have two men like that facing each other, it means the match is going to be lacking. Throw in the lame finish and you have a subpar contest.

Worse yet, this match was set up by WrestleMania 36 host Rob Gronkowski, but then he was nowhere to be seen during the match. If ever there was a time for celebrity interference to factor into a match, this was it. And we got nothing.
