8 Ups And 7 Downs From WWE Hell In A Cell 2015

2. One Big Dud

When the Dudley Boys returned to WWE a couple months ago, it looked like they were going to take the tag team division by storm. Maybe they€™d come in, win the WWE Tag Team Championships for a short vanity run and then put over new champs to help elevate the division. While having the decorated duo back in the tag ranks has been a welcome addition, their feud with the New Day can€™t really be termed a success. The Dudleys put Xavier Woods on the shelf on Raw, eliminating the tag champs€™ three-man advantage (and also nullifying the need to call up Spike Dudley for a fun cameo at Hell in a Cell). Despite that equalizer, the Dudleys still came up short against New Day Sunday. It was the third straight special event (Night of Champions, Madison Square Garden) that New Day defeated Bubba Ray and D-Von after some nefarious means (this time, Xavier€™s trombone got involved). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vLJTmAawQs8 None of this is to say that the Dudleys should have won the titles Sunday, but the only thing this feud really has done is allow New Day to brag about knocking off the Dudley Boyz in a less-than-convincing fashion.
