8 Ups And 7 Downs From WWE Hell In A Cell 2015

3. €˜Let€™s Go Roman!/Roman Sucks!€™

We all know that WWE is grooming Roman Reigns to be the next John Cena, and we€™ve seen it in full swing recently with Roman in the ring with Cena during the breast cancer survivor segment earlier this month and being front-and-center during all the Susan G. Komen vignettes. But as much as the company wants Roman to become the next face of the WWE, they couldn€™t have wanted Reigns to emulate one part of Cena€™s repertoire. During his Hell in a Cell match against Bray Wyatt, a dueling €œLet€™s go Roman!/Roman sucks!€ chant broke out, with girls and kids chanting for Reigns and mostly adult men rooting against him, just like the breakdown currently is for Cena. Reigns turned in a strong performance inside Hell in a Cell, but a sizable chunk of the audience isn€™t buying him in this superhero role. (They€™d probably rather see his former Shield teammate Dean Ambrose in the role.) Considering all the problems with Roman€™s build from the Royal Rumble in January through WrestleMania and the aborted world title reign, the higher-ups can€™t be happy that seven months later, Reigns is getting a 50/50 reaction.
