3. Rollins Wants One-On-One

It’s hard to call Seth Rollins’ mannerisms during the opening segment subtle, but he certainly was consistent throughout the interview in wanting one thing: a one-on-one WWE World Heavyweight Championship match against Dean Ambrose.

Rollins opened Raw bashing Roman Reigns over his suspension, then suggested that Reigns didn’t deserve a title shot and should be removed from the triple threat. He continued making the case while Ambrose was out there, then started getting defensive as AJ Styles and John Cena came out to suggest that they should be added to the match. When Cena suggested a fatal five-way bout, Rollins barked, “No, no no no!” to really drive home his opposition. Then when Stephanie McMahon came out, Seth spiked his microphone in disgust.

Later, during the main event, a conflicted Rollins reluctantly cheered for Ambrose to win his match against Styles, because if AJ won, he would turn the Battleground title match into a fatal four-way bout.

All of it showed just how frustrated Rollins was with the situation and how it had spiraled out of control: He was trying to go down to two men, and here it could jump to five men vying for the title. Rollins certainly had a point and a reason to be pissed.
