8 Ups And 8 Downs From WWE Battleground 2015

5. A Royal Pain

Granted, 1993 is a long time ago, but the minute Jerry €œThe King€ Lawler opened his mouth to complain about King Barrett being pissed at R-Truth, it should have set off warning alarms to any longtime wrestling fan. Lawler had the audacity to say that Barrett should €œlighten up€ about Truth having fun as King What€™s Up. This is the same Lawler who interrupted Bret €œHitman€ Hart€™s King of the Ring coronation in 1993 and attacked Hart, declaring that he was the one true king in the WWF. This triggered a feud between the two that ultimately included a €œKiss my foot€ match between the two at King of the Ring 1995, which Hart won. Considering that Lawler, a man who still carries a crown to ringside, once attacked Hart (who actually won the KOTR tournament, as opposed to Truth impersonating a king), Jerry should be the last person to say that Barrett should €œlighten up.€
