8 Ways Bischoff & Heyman Will Impact WWE TV

4. Longer Term Planning On SmackDown

Over on SmackDown, the haphazard piggy-backing of stories happening on Raw would become a thing of the past due to Eric Bischoff's ability to plan long term. Those at the back guffawing and bringing up the mistakes he made in WCW, pipe down. On his '83 Weeks' podcast, Bisch has owned up to those errors and says he's learned from them.

WWE will like the sound of that.

Interestingly enough, co-host Conrad Thompson recently asked Eric on the pod what he'd do if AEW approached him for a management role. Bischoff answered by saying he'd be flattered, but that he wouldn't show much interest unless they had a long term strategy. Again, he pointed back towards mistakes made in the 90s.

When SmackDown moves to FOX, it could do with some storylines to define it. Bischoff's remarkable restraint with Sting's pursuit of Hollywood Hogan and the nWo in 1996-1997 is exactly the kind of thing we're talking about. That sort of patience is required.
