8 Ways Chris Jericho Has Reinvented Himself During His Career

Y2J is probably the persona which first comes to mind whenever people think of Chris Jericho.

It was the character Jericho played for the majority of his initial run in the WWF/WWE, with a memorable look and catchphrases which Attitude Era fans around the world would quote verbatim.

Jericho's debut in the role is especially memorable as a clock counted 'down to the new millennium' and Y2J (a play on the 'Y2K' bug that we feared was going to end civilisation as we knew it - remember that?) walked out on Monday Night Raw in 1999 to interrupt The Rock of all people.

Swaggering out with crazy hair and a loud outfit, Y2J confidently proclaimed that he was here to save the WWF and that 'Raw is Jericho'.

With his brash persona and witty putdowns, Y2J was one of the most beloved stars of the Attitude Era, compiling multiple Intercontinental championship reigns and working his way to the top of the card.

He played this persona as both a babyface and a heel during his initial six year run with the company, with the loudmouth character going down a treat.
