8 Wrestlers Who Admitted To Cracking Under Pressure

7. Ric Flair

Ric Flair's televised character is one of the most secure wrestling personalities of all time, though the man himself has struggled with self-doubt enforced by the pressures of the business several times throughout his career.

When sons David and Reid were brought in to be attacked by the New World Order in WCW, Ric, who'd already been suffering from anxiety attacks, struggled. David himself would labour to cope with pro-wrestling's rigours, never truly adjusting to a game he just wasn't built for, having originally been brought into WCW to work a single angle.

WrestleMania X-8 was another tough night for 'The Nature Boy.' As revealed during an appearance on Steve Austin's Broken Skull Sessions, Flair was nervous about facing The Undertaker on 'The Grandest Stage of Them All' because he didn't know if he was still capable of giving 'The Deadman' the big-theatre bout he deserved. Ric was wrought with uncertainty all the way up to his ring entrance and flubbed his over-the-ropes flip bump, though a big boot from his hefty opponent reset the clock and got Flair ticking again.
