8 Wrestlers Who Could Be Revealed As Leader Of The Dark Order

7. Brian Cage

Brodie Lee Dark Order
Impact Wrestling

Pros:

Brian Cage is available; his Impact Wrestling contract has expired, and well-placed source SoCal UNCENSORED reckon a deal is all but done. That his wife, Melissa Santos, has rubbished rumours of his signing is another indication that he has actually signed. Cage possesses an impossible beast of a physique that will differentiate him from the roster, and as an agile colossus is in a great position to play the Final Boss destroyer role in the pulsating six-man tags at which AEW excel - and which, opposite the Elite trio, this storyline is driving (or spluttering) towards. Original plans called for Scurll to have formed the Dark Order as a measure of revenge for being left to rot. This premise just about works for Cage, too; he came up in the same scene as the Young Bucks, but was left to toil in Impact, missing out on the buzz and the paydays.

Cons:

That motivation reads like a value range version of the original, planned storyline lacking both the organic dramatic heft and epic build on Being The Elite. Cage is injury-prone, too, which extends another invite into the maw of the snake that has bitten this whole deal.
