8 Wrestlers Who Could Be The Mystery AEW Casino Ladder Match Entrant

4. Jeff Cobb

Jeff Cobb Inner Circle
AEW

Pros:

AEW are very interested in securing this man's signature and courted it by promoting him in a competitive bout with Jon Moxley back in February, the finish to which felt like a lucky escape designed to protect Cobb ahead of a future appearance. An intriguing fantasy booking scenario is doing the rounds on Twitter in which Cobb - managed by Tazz - will end up costing Darby Allin the match. This will instigate a feud built on Allin rebuffing Tazz's veteran advice. AEW embrace the manager role wholeheartedly, and Tazz is the perfect complement to Cobb who, while a fantastic spectacle performer, isn't a particularly engaging nor charismatic talker. Tazz's deep technical knowledge of Cobb's area of expertise - twinned with that abrasive New York accent - could make for a killer heel act. And, while Cobb was reluctant to commit to AEW full-time in February, with one eye cast towards NJPW and the independents, the world is an unrecognisable place in May.

Cons:

There is a surplus of big lads in AEW these days. Since there's a suspicion that Lance Archer may have outclassed Brodie Lee - one man was better than the other at murdering Marko Stunt - the threat of diminished returns hangs heavy.

Probability: 80%
