8 WWE Acts Who Would Be Perfect In The NWA
5. Bobby Roode
For a second there – just a second – it looked as if Bobby Roode was actually being showcased nicely as part of a tag pairing with Dolph Ziggler. Now while Roode and Ziggler won the Raw Tag Team Championships, they’ve since become an afterthought who look destined to loiter at the bottom of the card.
The Glorious One is clearly a talented performer who has shown he’s able to run with the ball when afforded the opportunity – as highlighted during his time in TNA and NXT. Since arriving on the WWE main roster, though, Roode has struggled to be anything more than a utility player whose versatility has possibly hindered him.
In the smaller settings of TNA and NXT, the Canadian has shown that he’s capable of being a big fish in a small pond, and he is able to conjure up a level of prestige and grandeur that makes him feel right at home at the top of the card. And in the NWA, that ability and presence means that Roode would be a fantastic option to be in and around the NWA Worlds Title picture.
