8 WWE Backstage Powers With Salaries You Won't Believe

1. Vince McMahon - $1,184,500 Base Salary, Actual Compensation Including Stock Grants $1,724,958, $1.21 Billion Worth Of Stock

With 39,272,641 shares, Vince McMahon owns more of the WWE than anyone else, making him a certified billionaire. As CEO and Chairman of the board he earns a base salary of $1,184,500, with actual compensation totalling $1,724,958. In 2012 he earned $2.456,359 and in 2011 he made $1,111,395. Vince's huge money making and massive worth from WWE will come of little surprise. He was the one who gambled everything he had on the company back in 1984, staking a small amount of money which has now turned into millions upon millions. As he approaches his 69th birthday, talk is turning to what the future holds for Vince. Will he remain in his current salaried role, or will he step aside to let a more youthful force take the reigns? There's also speculation that he could entertain the idea of selling WWE, cashing in on his billion dollar brand. What unfolds over the next half decade will be intriguing to watch. Whenever a cult of personality leaves a major business (look at Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United) it is inevitable that the ship gets rocked. There's simply no smooth succession plan that could ever prepare anybody to become the second coming of Vince McMahon. Let's hope he is around for years to come yet, he could have retired a rich man many, many years ago... this business is clearly what Vince lives for, long may his riches continue.
