WWE Hell In A Cell has been a botch of a promoting job. The show feels a little flat going in, which is staggering really when you consider Brock Lesnar is going to be battling The Undertaker inside a cell. How did WWE screw all of this up so bad? The blame rests with creative. Raw has been dud after dud in recent weeks, especially the go-home show. For example, the Seth Rollins versus Kane WWE Title match, what kind of promoter doesn't even feature the challenger on the go-home show? It is all very weak from Vince McMahon and his creative geniuses. The other problem is, a lot of the feuds feel like they've been running for months now. Lesnar and Taker peaked at SummerSlam, with the screwy finish really dampening a lot of the heat in the feud. As for Roman Reigns and Bray Wyatt, the story is beyond stale at this point. Nevertheless, in terms of in-ring quality, Hell In A Cell could and should deliver. It should also wrap up a lot of the recent feuds, thus allowing WWE to move on to new (and hopefully better) things in November. The following are the results you should expect to see this weekend.
8. Dolph Ziggler, Cesaro And Neville Vs Rusev, Sheamus And King Barrett
This pre-show match is one of the least inspired booking choices of the year. We only just saw it on Raw and it involves a bunch of non-personalities. Relegated to a pre-show berth, it is utterly meaningless. The winner hardly matters, but to warm the crowd up, expect a babyface victory. Ziggler hitting his Zig Zag on Rusev, then Neville hitting the Red Arrow for the pin, that would make sense as a hot finish. The heels got the victory on Raw, so the result reversed is likely, with Rusev taking the fall because management are mad at him over the whole Lana engagement breaking kayfabe. It could be fun, all six are good workers, but it is hard to get excited when the narrative is non-existent. Winners: Dolph Ziggler, Cesaro and Neville
